Veterans and their families are important to SC Thrive. Thrive Hub, powered by Good Grid allows community-based organizations to educate and assist clients who have served in the military and their families. Sites will be able to assist Veterans when it comes to requesting records, like DD-214s, and selecting and applying for education, job training and housing programs. SC Thrive simplifies this process and helps Sites best serve their military and Veteran Clients. To become an SC Thrive Military & Veteran Site:
Organization must be an active SC Thrive Site
Organization must have active SC Thrive Counselors
Counselor must complete SC Thrive Military & Veteran Counselor Training
Do you serve women Veterans?
SC Thrive has partnered with Texas-based organization Grace After Fire to bring Table TalkTM: Color Me Camo to South Carolina. Table TalkTM: Color Me Camo is a peer support group designed specificaly for women Veterans. Table TalkTM focuses on gender-specific aspects through structured positive interaction with trained facilitators and fellow peers.Table TalkTM's goal is to help women Veterans help themselves. The program provides educational materials and activities that promote self-knowledge, self-understanding, self-development and self-renewal for the woman Veteran. The purpose of the program is for peers to help peers with the transition from military member to Veteran and to establish a lasting bond amongst women Veterans in their local areas. The goal of the program is healthy women, healthy families and healthy communities. We are looking for Facilitators Facilitators undergo an application screening process and receive classroom training, online training and annual recertification.
