Are you a Veteran or current member of the military?

You can use The Benefit Bank of South Carolina to apply for education benefits, job training benefits, requests for records and housing benefits from the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA). Applications can be completed through our Self-Serve system or with a Military and Veterans Benefits Counselor at an SC Thrive Site near you!

Request for Military Records

To apply for any Military and Veteran Benefits, an applicant will need their discharge papers or DD-214. SC Thrive can help Veterans request these records.

Are you a family member of a Veteran or current member of the military?
As a spouse or dependent of a Veteran or current member of the military, you can use The Benefit Bank to apply for education benefits transferred to you by a member of the military or Veteran.

Veterans and their families are important to SC Thrive. Veterans have many choices when it comes to requesting records, like DD-214s, and selecting and applying for education, job training and housing programs. SC Thrive simplifies this process and helps Veterans make the best possible choices for themselves and their families.

Are you a Woman Veteran?

SC Thrive has partnered with Texas-based organization Grace After Fire to bring Table TalkTM: Color Me Camo to South Carolina. Table TalkTM: Color Me Camo is a peer support group designed specificaly for women Veterans. Table TalkTM focuses on gender-specific aspects through structured positive interaction with trained facilitators and fellow peers.Table TalkTM's goal is to help women Veterans help themselves. The program provides educational materials and activities that promote self-knowledge, self-understanding, self-development and self-renewal for the woman Veteran. The purpose of the program is for peers to help peers with the transition from military member to Veteran and to establish a lasting bond amongst women Veterans in their local areas. The goal of the program is healthy women, healthy families and healthy communities.

We are looking for Facilitators
