Do you need help buying groceries?
SNAP, or the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, is a state and federal nutrition program that helps you stretch your grocery budget to buy healthy food at grocery stores, convenience stores, some farmers markets and other places across the state. SNAP benefits are given each month on an EBT (Electronic Benefits Transfer) card which works like a debit card.
You can apply for SNAP with one of our counselors at an SC Thrive site or over the phone with our Contact Center at 800.726.8774.
Hunger is closer than you think. SC Thrive is partnering with No Kid Hungry to improve healthy food access!

- No child should go hungry in America. But in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, 1 in 6 kids could face hunger this year. No Kid Hungry is working to end childhood hunger by helping launch and improve programs that give all kids the healthy food they need to thrive. This is a problem we know how to solve. No Kid Hungry is a campaign of Share Our Strength, an organization committed to ending hunger and poverty. No Kid Hungry South Carolina is a public-private coalition working to ensure no kid will grow up hungry.
