Tax Season Update 2019

Tax Season Update

Tax filing with SC Thrive will be postponed to start on February 5th.

Dear Partners,

As a result of the government shutdown, furloughed IRS employees and necessary materials pertaining to new tax law changes not being sent to The Benefit Bank until January 22nd by federal and state agencies, SC Thrive is postponing the start date for filing tax returns until Tuesday, February 5, 2019. As a valued partner, we want to ensure 100% accuracy of tax returns submitted on our platform. We are confident in the commitment we have invested in our community of partners, but also in the trust you have provided us over the years. We apologize for this unforeseen circumstance and hope your clients understand this one-week delay.

As a reminder, due to federal law, filers claiming the Earned Income Tax Credit and/or the Additional Child Tax Credit will not receive refunds until at least February 27, 2019.

Your SC Thrive Regional Staff will be contacting you to reschedule tax clinics, if necessary, and to provide an expedited contact number for support with password resets, and login issues while using The Benefit Bank.

Thank you for your continued partnership and understanding!

Tricia Richardson,
Chief Executive Officer
SC Thrive
