Are you a current member of the military or a Veteran?

SC Thrive is proud to serve our Veterans, military, and their families. We offer a variety of programs and support, including:

Survive 2 Thrive

Survive 2 Thrive is a virtual peer-to-peer support group for women Veterans to be a place of healing where women can build friendships, promote self-care and obtain support to manage their lives. Women Veterans can join to release some of their struggles through open communication and to hear about how others use strategies to overcome similar experiences and difficulties. This support group will reaffirm to Veteran women that they are not alone in their struggles while also providing advice and assistance when needed. Register HERE for this once-a-month virtual session!

Mental Health

Fact: 20 veterans die every day by suicide. One of the first steps to being prepared for a mental health crisis is taking Mental Health First Aid. MHFA for Veterans teaches Veterans, military members, and their families how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health issues and substance use disorders.

MHFA covers military culture, specific risk factors faced by service members, breaking stigmas and more. SC Thrive is currently offering Mental Health First Aid Training for free for Active Duty Military and Veterans. You can learn more about MHFA for Veterans by contacting our Training Team at training@scthrive.org

County Veterans Service Offices

County Veterans Service Offices connect Veterans and their family members to all the resources and benefits available to them. In South Carolina, there is a CVSO in each county. You can find your county office location HERE.

South Carolina Veterans Guide

SCVets Guide is a resource directory for South Carolina Veterans, Military Members, and their families. We have worked to break down barriers to ensure that you have access to all the benefits you deserve. You can view the latest edition HERE.
