SC Thrive Expands Thrive Hub Online Portal to Individuals, Making Essential Resources More Accessible Than Ever

Thrive Hub streamlines benefit applications into one platform, saving time and energy for those seeking assistance, while also identifying additional resource recommendations.

COLUMBIA, S.C. – MARCH 19, 2025 – March. 19, 2025 – SC Thrive has connected over 417,000 South Carolinians with quality-of-life resources through their Thrive Hub platform. This tool, now open to all South Carolinians, cuts through the clutter and confusion of community, government and healthcare support, empowering those in need to become an active member of their own care team.

Until January 2025, Thrive Hub was only accessible through SC Thrive’s partner organizations. Now, with this new update, all features except benefit applications are open to all South Carolinians seeking support. Available online or via the Thrive Hub app, individuals can search for resources close by and be referred to partner agencies for desired services. Users can also file tax returns for 2024, complete a Social Determinants of Health evaluation for their family, create resumes, save documents and more. To fill out benefit applications, individuals need to connect with one of SC Thrive’s partner organizations.

7 Dimensions Outreach, one of SC Thrive’s partner organizations, praises the ease of using Thrive Hub to cut down on paperwork, work faster and help more people. Ebony Hughes of 7 Dimensions Outreach used the platform to assist Geneva Wilson, an individual who suffered both a stroke and a heart attack back in 2005. “I am thriving now because of the education that I received to better myself,” Wilson said. “The resources are here, and Miss Ebony helped me [access them].”

Kathryn Lane at Little River Medical Center—a company providing primary care services, dental, and behavioral health—uses Thrive Hub to find resources for individuals. “Resources are used to enroll our community members and patients in Medicaid as well as SNAP benefits. With SC Thrive’s tools, we are able to meet patients where they are and develop relationships with them. The tools itself allow for an open conversation to take place between the coordinator and the patient and really help us build trust in the community.”

Jennifer Marze is the Vice President of Network and Strategy Services at Molina Healthcare. “Hundreds of thousands of South Carolinians were up for Medicaid renewal,” shared Marze. “Through our partnership with SC Thrive, we’ve been able to outreach to these members directly and make sure that they’re aware of their renewals and submit their benefits on time, so they don’t lose coverage. SC Thrive is the only organization that has been granted the ability to submit applications and renewals from the agency.”

Through collaboration with Good Grid, SC Thrive created Thrive Hub to further its mission of linking South Carolinians to essential resources. This secure, cloud-based platform connects individuals with health care providers, agencies, social and governmental organizations.
