Dana Powell
Dana Powell is passionate about learning and teaching. She works to make sure child-and-family serving professionals have the knowledge and skills they need to effectively support children and families and prevent child abuse and neglect. She is the lead trainer for Children’s Trust’s prevention training and co-facilitates equipping people to serve as adverse childhood experiences (ACE) master trainers. Dana is also the program lead for Children’s Trust’s Building Hope for Children Conference.
Prior to joining Children’s Trust, she worked with the South Carolina Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy for nearly 10 years. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English and secondary education from Carson-Newman University and a master’s degree in higher education and student affairs from the University of South Carolina. Dana is a certified speaker, trainer, and coach with Maxwell Leadership.
